Overview

Job Summary

The Digital Media Content Specialist is responsible for managing all HMA enterprise websites.  This will include updating content and new website design, in addition to providing programming, problem-solving, analytics, project management, and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

Work Performed and Job Requirements

  • Web Development and Management
    • Work with the Communications team to develop front-facing webpages using WordPress.
    • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, update, and maintain 40+ WordPress websites within the HMA enterprise.
    • Create and maintain additional splash or landing pages as needed.
  • Content Design and Editing
    • Responsible for designing and/or editing content using CSS and HTML.
    • Communicate web design best practices and enhancing user experience to others.
  • SEO and Compliance
    • Understand and remain up to date on the latest SEO standards.
    • Maintain accessibility and ADA compliance on all sites.
  • Performance Analysis
    • Report and analyze monthly metrics using Google Analytics.
  • All other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Education/Training

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, web design, or other related discipline.

 

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience with front end website administration and design. Experience in WordPress, CSS and HTML required, working knowledge of GeneratePress preferred. Experience with Photoshop a plus.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of WordPress, CSS and HTML.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to professionally communicate and coordinate with a wide range of external clients as well as internal management and administrative personnel.
  • Must be very organized, precise and accurate in work, with strong attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently, with sound fiscal and time management skills, attention to detail, and priority management to me-et conflicting deadlines.
  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment, while complying with internal policies and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and ability to learn and use other computer programs.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to manage significant recurring responsibilities with unpredictable short-term demands.
  • Ability to be proactive, flexible and able to switch gears quickly from one project to the next.
  • Ability to work extended hours when deadlines are approaching.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
