Overview

Job Summary

Under general supervision, provides research support services to consultants for client-related projects, proposals, and business development activities. Additional administrative responsibilities include scheduling, note-taking, answering phones, and meeting preparation. There is a monthly billable target expectation with this position.

Responsibilities

Work Performed

  • Engages in billable work activities with consultant projects/clients.
    • Participates in stakeholder/client meetings
      • Gathers meeting minutes
      • Learns more about the opportunity
    • Conducts literature reviews to generate results for deliverables (i.e., environmental scans/analyses)
    • Composes summaries and briefings
    • Collects data
    • Edits and finalizes document and slide presentations
    • Prepares client deliverables
    • Schedules interviews and phone meetings for consultants/clients
    • Creates reports from Vision for Project Managers (i.e., job to-date expenditures, etc.).
    • Prints/ships materials to consultants/clients as directed.
    • Coordinates with IT department to set up SharePoint sites/shared folders to enable common access for
      all team members
  • Participates in proposal work activities.
    • Assists Proposal Lead in providing support during proposal development including, doing research related
      to proposal content, developing the project budget, pulling boilerplate language and identifying prior
      project experience.
  • Performs administrative/business development work.
    • Coordinates and participates in local office meetings
    • Schedules appointments for consultants (Internal and external meetings)
    • Provides HMA back-up phone coverage as necessary
    • Collaborates with office building representatives and HMA Facilities Manager regarding work orders
    • Checks and responds to emails and office mailings regularly
    • Assists consultants with WebEx functioning, video conferencing, etc.
    • Coordinates with HMA IT department to ensure proper functioning of office Internet and other connectivities
    • Orders office supplies
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Training

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Public Policy, Public Health, or related discipline is required. Work experience equivalent will be considered. Master’s degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred.

 

Experience

At least 1-3 years of prior experience in healthcare and/or human services including, but not limited to policy, administration, operations, compliance, research, or evaluation. Technical writing experience is desired. Strong proficiencies with MS Office applications and Sharepoint are preferred.

This role may require travel at times (~10%).
